It’s WU from M2. I’m really appreciate to have this opportunity to present my preliminary work in IST2024 Niigata this time. through this experience, i had the opportunity to meet many excellent researchers from different fields, which broadened my understanding and perspective on various disciplines. i also enountered some widely used technologies in industry that i hadn’t known before, such as SHAP, a game theoretic approach to explain the output of any machine learning model.(based on the number of stars this project has, it must be a really well-known tool lol)
additionally, attending various research experiments provided me with valuable insignts into how to design a reasonable experiment, including what aspects to consider and how to compare expected results with actual outcomes.
although my presentation had some shortcomings, such as not explaining the model’s composition and selection, it was overall a great experience. i especially noticed that as researchers, we all have similar doubts when facing a new research direction. in summary, i’m really happy to have had this presentation experience, and it has helped me indentify the issues i need to address for my next presentation, enriching my experience.
Hello everyone, I’m HUA (M2), on June 6th and 7th, we attended the IST conference in Niigata. I felt incredibly honored to have this opportunity to participate in this event. Although the conference lasted only two days, I found it immensely rewarding. Listening to the presentations, I was deeply impressed by the participants’ expertise and their ability to use advanced research and technology to solve problems. Despite the presentations and slides being in Japanese, I was able to understand most of the contents.
Presenting my own research was a challenging experience, especially since it was my first time presenting at such a conference. I was very nervous, but I managed to complete my presentation. This experience made me aware of my own shortcomings and the areas where I need to improve. I know I still have a lot to work on, and I am determined to improve and refine my research in the future.
I am very grateful for the opportunity to attend this event. It provided me with valuable insights and the motivation to continue improving. Additionally, this was my first visit to Niigata. The city felt quite different from Kanazawa. Despite the short visit, we managed to explore a bit and experience a new city while attending the conference. It was a delightful and enriching experience overall.
